Carbon Emission reduction project

We are delighted to announce that our first carbon footprint reduction project has been completed, it entailed a sizeable investment on our part and we are grateful to the Carbon Trust  for their support in helping us achieve our project goals. However, we are not going to rest on our laurels and will continue to seek out additional ways of further reducing our carbon footprint as well as inspiring our staff to do the same.

The project encompassed:

The fitting of a new power board and powerline that runs the full length of the facility which allowed us to remove the requirement for a diesel generator.

The fitting of a power factor correction unit.

The re-siting of air compressors where we recovered any heat generated back into the factory as well as allowing the units to operate more efficiently

Replacement of older air conditioning units with more environmentally friendly and efficient ones

Overall our carbon reduction project will have resulted in 50 tonnes less carbon being emitted into the atmosphere each year.
